“Diversify your portfolio” I’ve heard this expression very often throughout the course of my life, nearly to the point of being a societal cliché. Well, not only did I take this concept and run with it in terms of my financial circumstances and future, but I embraced it as a methodology of life. In essence, be open to try new things, learn new information, so my portfolio, interests, and ultimately my understanding of the universe and reality and how all of the pieces connect together forming a grand synthesis follow this. Successful people suggest working on yourself, because you have to become success itself. You can’t be afraid to lose, because the lessons you need to reach your potential can only be reached through you rising back up after failure. They say “poor people save, rich people invest” and I’m seeing how true that really is. I have started many small businesses and alternate ways to make money, but I’m seeing how much you start to become the creative wind itself; the process becoming addictive and who you are. I not only invested in myself, every day trying to learn something new, and create using various mediums and methods. I almost always have an idea I want to manifest, because my brain has become used to putting parts together, creating a wide variety of experiences and productions. when I was 9, I would take my money I made from weed-eating and buy things at the flea market, then sell them individually in a yard sale. I had lemonade stands, sold energy drinks, lighters with bottle openers. I’ve been a personal trainer and instructor, a stripper, I’ve fought for money, played competitive card games, soccer team manager and player. I’ve also done online surveys bringing in an entire secondary income while at my main job. Now I am in stocks, crypto, guns, art, buying selling Pokémon cards, transformers, books, video editing and design, blogging, podcasting, as well as working on myself and in enhancing my martial arts abilities. There are so many things you can immerse yourself in. If you cover the full spectrum of possible wealth, you start to see how all things link and connect together and follow similar rhythms. You start to fall in love with the process of problem solving itself and the creation of ideas; an increase in money becomes an added bonus. Continued success doesn’t happen on accident. You can occasionally get “lucky”, but consistent success requires hard work and time put into learning and improving yourself. And pursuing as many avenues of growth and interest as you can. Life is a large and long game, and the richness of enjoying more experiences also broadens the scope and depth of your experience, and as well as the details of how that can be utilized for growing your wealth. Spend a certain amount of time each day improving yourself and your pool of knowledge, and eventually you will become the manifestation of that information and knowledge; a person of success. Stop fearing loss and don’t yourself to get lazy; if you don’t know something, start learning it today. And over time, you will start to add to your portfolio and have enough diversity, that no single event will halt or stall your growth. Because you didn’t put all your eggs in one basket; you were able to diversify enough to weather any storm. You will now be able to invest more into low cost options while everyone else is selling. Being unprepared, and giving into their emotions; panicking and getting out of their investments, trying to salvage what’s left, rather than plying the long game, already accounting for possible problems. Start learning and investing in yourself and in quality ideas today. You are in command of your life and future, and you can succeed; now go do it!
