Native, Pagan, and other beliefs coming together to honor and communicate with our ancestors and loved ones. There were rituals, plays, stories, a great fire, feasting, alters to communicate and pay respects, even some dancing and working with the energy around us on this cold evening on the 31st of October. Great energy, community, and unity as the veil thins and we feel the ebb and flow of nature and the other side. It was my first time getting to experience and be a part of something like this. Being that I am a mesh of so many cultures and bloodlines, I hold no specific attachments to any specific heritage, I find familiarity with many different cultures. I therefore appreciate all of the uniqueness of each culture while noticing their similarities; all variations of the same great whole. It’s nice to be able to see people come together embracing each other rather than dividing.
