The Contrast of Nature

Updated: Mar 3, 2021

I feel like I’ve been down this road and had this realization again and again, but for some reason this had a more profound effect. We are constantly in a state of growing and changing, and we learn various lessons along the way, making us who we are at this moment. What really stuck out to me was not only how much a beautiful reset, recharge, and reboot nature is, but also how often we learn a lesson and we store it as knowledge, but we forget that over time the lesson starts to fade without application. Hot water turns cold if energy isn’t applied. And this could be said notmonly about life lessons, but proficiency of a skill, or relationships with people I think that’s why we can reread a book or watch a movie down the line, or even hike the same trail, because We can learn new lessons and discoveries, bit we can sometimes reapply old ones that we had let take up space in our memory but had forgotten the application of. Nature simply is, being itself, and it doesn’t try to hold on too tight, knowing it must shed it current state to allow the new in. Sometimes leaving the house to go to nature for even just a short period of time is enough to get out of a rut, depression, or creative block, and when you return home, it will once again be enjoyable. I see how I’ve grown, as well as what I just keep improving on, and it never hurts to put your phone down and remember what silence feels like, and connect with Your inner self. So many answers always wait for you there.
